SHARP METROPOLITAN CAMPUS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Sharp Memorial Hospital, Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns, or Sharp Mesa Vista. Please take a few moments to complete this application and click the submit button.

PROGRAM COMMITMENT

Dedicate a minimum of 6 months of active volunteer service.

Attend at least one shift per week for the same day, time, and length (usually two to four hours).

APPLICATION AND ONBOARDING PROCESS

Interviews are conducted online, via Microsoft Teams

PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE

Upon acceptance into the program, volunteers are expected to complete the following:

Health Screening Requirements
Purchase a Sharp Volunteer branded uniform top (est. $35-$40).

Attend a 1 - 2hour group orientation, typically hosted on Fridays.

Our volunteer opportunities include Nursing Units, Person-Centered Care activities, and office support tasks. The Sharp volunteer program does offer shadowing with physicians or nurses. While you may express interest in a specific area, placement in that unit is not guaranteed. Volunteer Services reserves the right to assign volunteers to high-priority areas based on organizational needs. You retain the right to accept or decline any position offered.
