Metro: Adult Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Sharp Memorial Hospital and Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns. Please take a few moments to complete this application and click the submit button.

Please Review the Following Requirements:

Dedicate a minimum of 100 hours of volunteer service

Commit to at least one shift per week for the same day, time, and length (usually two to four hours)

Attend a 55-minute online volunteer information session and participate in ongoing training

Purchase a $25 to $35 uniform top from Volunteer Office. Scrub pants are required and not available for purchase at the Volunteer Office.

Complete a background screening

Complete a health screening, including providing vaccination records and proof of COVID-19 immunization. Currently, COVID-19 booster shots and flu shots are available.

If your application is accepted, you will be invited to register for an information session. Attendance at this session is a requirement within the selection process. After the session, you can sign up for an interview.

If you are invited to join our team after your interview, you will need to complete a background and health screening before your volunteer position begins.

Volunteer Onboarding Process: (1) complete and submit an application, (2) register and attend a volunteer information session, (3) complete a personal interview. The selection process includes all three of these steps. If invited to join our team, (4) complete a background screening, (5) complete a health screening, and (5) accept an assignment and schedule and be able to start within two weeks. Please be able to commit to an initial three month period in the same assignment.
